The Cavalcade of Lights has marked the beginning of the holiday season in our city for 45 years, and this year it’s complete with musical performances, ice skating, twinkling lights, fireworks, and of course, the lighting of Toronto’s official Christmas tree! Taking place at Nathan Phillips Square, this event is a great way to gather with your fellow Torontonians and celebrate the beginning of the holidays.

324. Buskertainment

You’ve seen buskers entertaining in the summer months, but it takes a true performer to withstand the November cold and participate in WinterMagic’s Buskertainment! Holiday shoppers will be amazed and entertained by illusionists, mimes, human statues, jugglers, fire performers, stilt walkers and more throughout the streets of the downtown Yonge-Dundas neighbourhood. Make sure to leave the buskers a tip, as all proceeds raised will go to Raising the Roof, an organization that helps find long-term solutions to homelessness in Canada.

Buskertainment operates on Saturdays and Sundays from 12pm to 2pm from November 12th to December 18th.
